Pear Blossom Press EZ Lights Used in a MFT Home Card!

I am so grateful to be guest designing for Pear Blossom Press! I absolutely can't get enough of their lights and supplies! In this card, I used one of the 3 pack of EZ-Lights to light up my card. Each EZ-Light pack has three lights. The dies that I used to make the card is from My Favorite Things (products listed at the end of the blog)!
When working with all dies to make a scene for my card, I lay out how I want my card then I know where to place my EZ-Lights. Then on my base card,  I used regular tape (you can also use double side tape) to secure my lights exactly where I want them. Since I only had two lamps hanging down and three lights, I just double up the lights for one of the lamps.
As you can see in this picture I secured the my lights where my lamp will be hanging down and secured the "push" button lower on the card to line up with the pillow! It's that EZ!! I then placed foam tape all around the card base to support the top of my card! This also gives you the height needed to accommodate your battery pack! You can leave a space (no foam tape) where the battery is placed, so you can gain access to the battery and change it in the future! I choose not to on this card!
I assembled the upper part first. I poke little holes through the paper, right underneath the yellow part of the light. This is where I brought through the tips of the lights. I used square foam to pop up the lamp. Then I finished assembling the rest of the card, all while making sure the pillow is over the "push" button of the battery pack! When finishing assembling the card, I lined up the base and top, added a little glue to the top of the foam tape (to be able to move the top around), and put the two pieces together! To finish it, I stamped "push" on the pillow to let the recipient know to push the pillow, which will then light up the lights! It's so easy, I love it! Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!

Kindred Stamps November Release: Laughs

Today I am sharing my November release projects for Kindred Stamps (affiliate links used throughout when available; thank you so much in advance!), from the soon to be released "Laughs" Stamp Set

I absolutely adore this set! I wanted to make sure I captured the famous stage scene of her singing, but with the rabbit sticking his head out from behind the curtains! So, I started with the Stage Curtain Craft Die and along with the "Stage Builder Stencil", creating an easy stage for her to become the center of attention! When placing the rabbit peeping out of the curtain, I had to cut the bottom half of him to fit! I finished it off with the sentiment "I'm Always in Toon with You" and placed a frame around the card!

I made my second card using the "Film Strip Craft Die" as a Stencil! Then I only wanted the reds to show, so I made everything grayscale! After laying the actual die on my Bristol paper card base, I used Black Soot Distress Oxide and a small, detailed blending brush to outline the die with the distress oxide. I used my Copics N0-N5 to create my greyscale and used R29 and R59 for the reds I used a thin foam to pop up the characters to add interest!

The last card I made with the Laughs Stamp Set, I used the TV Time Craft Die and The Card Basics Die more specifically, the stars and tickets, and create a card highlighting the rabbit! I used the Digital Noise Stencil for the background of the TV and cover it with acetate (hard to see in the picture)! I finished the card with the sentiment that says, "Thanks for Always Making Me Laugh"!

Kindred Stamps Career Series-Retail Worker

Today I am sharing my October release projects for Kindred Stamps (affiliate links used throughout when available; thank you so much in advance!), from their soon to be released Career Series-Retail Worker stamp set! I turned this stamp set into a Kindred Store! I gained inspiration from the sentiment!

I made this card using the paper and embellishment from the Kindred's Chicago crop retreat! I also used the Kindred Stamper stamp set to stamp all of the Kindred Stamp sayings! It's also nice to have in your stash when you make a Kindred card to stamp on the back with your name!

I also made another card actually by drawing in a "store" background and adding the guy who's checking out! My inspiration came from the cute sentiment "Thanks for checking me out"! I adore the sentiments in the Retail Worker stamp set!

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog, I hope you enjoyed my cards! Kindred Stamps September Release - Extra Special

Today I am sharing my September release projects with Kindred Stamps (affiliate links used throughout when available; thank you in advance!), from their soon to be released "Extra Special" stamp set! All this alien wants to do is phone home! So I helped him out by lighting up his Finger and chest with Pear Blossom EZ-Lights!

I made this card first by completing  the scene on front. I used distress oxide inks in Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire. I also use the Kindred Tree Scene die  cut in a dark blue cardstock.

Then I starting putting together the EZ Lights which is super easy! I placed the button where I wanted it to go and the lights (I poked a hole throught the cardstock too) and then secured it with regular scotch tape. I also placed double sided foam tape to build up to the EZ Light so it's even when placing on the base.

This is a video of the finished card!

The next card I made with Extra Special stamp set, I wanted to make a moon scene where they were flying past the moon!

I used a moon mask and used the same two distress oxide inks colors as above to make the background. I also used the Tree Scene die, but added an extra layer in black for more dimension. I pop dotted the stamp for additional dimension as well! I finished the card by using the Kindred Stamps Snowfall white embossing powder with the sentiment. This is my go to white embossing powder, I use it for all my white embossing needs!

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog, I hope you enjoyed my cards! I would love for you to come back on Friday when ordering your Kindred Stamps and use any of my highlighted affiliate links to order! Its free and helps support my blog! I would greatly appreciate you!

Plane Awesome!

Today I am sharing a easel card with you that I made on the Kindred Stamps Live! I used the Plane Awesome stamp set and the Underwater Buddies paper pack!

To make the easel card, I started out with an A2 size card vertically and took the top half and folded it in half. Colored the stamps and then arranged the plane to "soar" and the young lady at the bottom. To hold the bottom of the easel card I cut out two strips of paper and on the white one I embossed the sentiment "You make my Heart Soar" with black glitter embossing powder!

What is great about an easel card is that you can make it flat to mail and set it right back as an easel! For a short time there will be an offer of 20% off the Plane Awesome stamp set and the Underwater Buddies paper pack! The code is 20heatherlive
Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Kindred Stamps August 2022 Release - Ghoul Squad

Today I am sharing my August release projects with Kindred Stamps (affiliate links used throughout when available; thank you in advance!), from their soon to be released "Ghoul Squad" stamp set and "Boo Crew" paper pack! Halloween doesn't always have to be so scary!

I made this card starting out with using the Boo Crew paper pack to cut out the dog house! Highlighted the stitching with a Pentel sparkle pop pen! The base of the card is a blend of Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet, and Shaded Lilac Distress Ink! Then I used the (retired) Stars and Moon Stencil and some fairy dust paste to make the sky sparkle! Then I want to put some lights in the Bare Tree Craft Die to match my skeleton dog's lights! I put the bone that comes with the dog house in my ghost doggie's mouth for interest! Popped up a frame around the card to give it dimension!

I made this slimline card using the Boo Crew paper and used Kindred Embossing Ink to apply glitter embossing powder to the sentiment! I popped up both characters and the sentiment circle!

I wanted to do something a little different, so I made ATCs (Artist Trading Cards)! I am loving this Boo Crew paper so I die cut my shapes and then placed my cute witch and cute devil and added my sentiments! Then embellished with some sparkles from Buttons Galore!

For my background I used the same distress inks (as above), the Kindred Spiderweb Stencil, and splattered some purple, white, and black acrylic paint on the card. I then place my princess, popping her up for dimension, and then directly stamping the sentiment on the dry card! I finished it off with more embellishments from Button Galore!
Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Kindred Stamps June Release! Career Day Series: Lifeguards

Today I am sharing my June release projects with Kindred Stamps (affiliate links used throughout when available; thank you in advance!), from their soon to be released Career Day Series set Lifeguard! I was so inspired by the sentiments!

With this card I colored the background using copic markers and a little Distress Ink! I also colored the lifeguards with copic markers mainly using R29 and R89 for their clothes and life saving buoy! I also used white gel pen in the water to make it seem like the white cap of waves. I probably should of played with the blues a little more, but I am still learning!

For my second card I was inspired by the sentiment, "The problem with the gene pool is there isn't a lifeguard"! I didn't want to add any lifeguards to the card so I used all the other stamps that came in the set! I used the Kindred Seaside Paper to build up the waves and behind the sentiment. I had some scrap paper that reminded me of the red cross and put it in the other windows! I put foam tape on the back of the windows to create dimension, as well as the sentiment, lifesaving devices, and whistle!

I have been wanting to make a pool or pond shaker card and this gave me an excellent opportunity! I surrounded the pool with paper that looks like it could be a deck and put the sentiment on there, "Wishing you a Hassel Free Birthday"!

On this card I definitely want to highlight the sentiment and the female lifeguard! I have had this paper in my stash and it was perfect for the clean and simple look I was going for to be able to highlight both of them! I absolutely loved creating with the Lifeguard set and totally adore the sentiments! Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you enjoyed the cards!

Crescent Creation's Hippity Hoppity February Release

It's release day with Crescent Creation! The February release has 4 new digital stamp sets, 3 new gorgeous color cardstocks, and 3 new embellishments! Crescent Creation is giving away a $25 gift certificate if you follow along in the Hop and leave comments at each of the stops! The list of links will be at the bottom of the page!
For this release I use the new digital stamp set "St. Patrick's Day", with the gorgeous new Shamrock ☘ green cardstock, the new Shamrock Clay Bits, and a sprinkle of Gilded (gold) Pearl's Mixing!
I paired it with a rainbow die and created a shaker card. I placed a piece of acetate behind the (vibrant green) rainbow die cut to create a window and then glued the digital gnome stamp on top. I colored the gnome with copics and filled in the "gold" with Aztec Gold Nuvo drops. Set it to the side to dry.

Then I placed a layer of foam on my white card base and then attached it to the A2 card that I made out of the Shamrock cardstock.  Before I attached the top die cut window to the base, I placed the Shamrock Clay Bits and the Gilded (gold) Pearl's Mix onto the white card base. I did glue a few of the shaker bits down to ensure coverage when card is upright.
I decided to place the sentiment inside the card as I wanted to enhance the vibrancy of the Shamrock green cardstock!

A wonderful thing about Crescent Creation's digital stamps is that they are all white/opaque inside and transparent/clear on the outside, which makes it easy to layer and create scenes for your projects!

Yellow Sapphire, Lagoon, Shamrock cardstock with Easter Remix Clay bits.

Sweet Christmas Crescent Creation November Release!

Welcome to the Sweet Christmas Crescent Creation November Release Hop! Please make sure you follow along to win a $25 dollar Gift Certificate. To win make sure you comment and subscribe at each stop along the hop! The list will be at the end of the post!

I have made a card using the Penguins in Crescent Creation's, "Together for the Holidays" digital stamp set! It is such an adorable set! I also used the tree in last months set "Christmas Gnomies"! I paired it with Crescent Creation's Penguin embellishments!

I made the card's base using Tumbled Glass distress ink and then layered Tim Holtz new "Icicle" crackle paste which gave the look of ice! I enhanced the cracks a little more by coloring the cracks with a white colored pencil!

I then cut two white "land" pieces and covered them with Tim Holtz new "Snowfall" Grit paste and "Moon Dust" Stickles to make it look like snow is on either side of the skating rink!

I then copic colored the penguins and tree and assembled everything together! I then glue the base to Cresent Creation's red cardstock! I wanted to incorporate embellishments so I placed a piece of acetate into a clear cellophane bag and put in CC Penguin embellishments along with some additional embellishments.  I then attached the first sentiment, 'Sliding By To Say..." on top of the cellophane bag. I then folded and taped the bad behind the red cardstock and glued it to the card! Now you have a three panel card!!

Crescent Creation's digital stamps are all white/opaque inside and clear/transparent on the outside so they are very easy to layer and create all kind of scenes for your projects!

Remember to comment to win a $25 gift certificate! The winner will be announced November 30th on Crescent Creation's social media! Thank you for visiting!
